The Fall Membership Meeting and New Member Orientation was held at the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute. Our new members were welcomed by Watt Gregory, briefed of the history of Accelerate Arkansas along with our successes by Jerry Adams, and given an update on the 2010 fiscal session by Speaker of the House Robbie Wills. Ted Moskal did an excellent job with his presentation about Litmus Rapid-B and the entrepreneurial challenges of a young company. Our new members were very receptive and having them there reenergized the group and reminded us of the importance of staying the course.

The annual meeting was one of the best. Two Innovate Arkansas clients, HealthSpan and BlueInGreen, presented to the attendees. Updates on the other initiatives, including the Arkansas Research Alliance, were very informative. Our guests included Senator Mary Anne Salmon and Susan Dumas, Senate Pro Tem Bob Johnson's Legislative Assistant. Our appreciation is extended to the Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas for the use of their "state of the art" boardroom and for a delicious lunch.
